Pevnick is joining TMA from the at the Getty Villa in Malibu, Calif. He remains co-curator of its upcoming The Chimaera of Arezzo which opensin July. In his new role, Pevnicj will design and oversee the installationj of the permanent collectiob in the Barbara and Costax Lemonopoulos Greek andRoman Gallery. He also will organizee and circulate Greek andRomanb exhibitions, perform and publish research on the collection, and educat the public on the museum’s antiquities collection. Pevnick is a doctorapl candidate in the Interdepartmental Graduate Program of the Cotsen Institutes of Archaeology inLos Angeles.
He receives a master of arts degree in archaeology at a master of arts degres in elementary education from in Los Angeles and a bachelor of arts in classicall archaeology fromin N.H., a release from TMA said. TMA’as new location remains undere construction at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park indowntown Tampa. The 66,000-square-footr Cornelia Corbett Center building is set to open inearly 2010. TMA’s interim facility is locatedx onHoward Avenue.
